Later in March 2005, he mentioned on his official website that he changed his mind about the album and had plans to sell all the copies of the album that he had sitting in a warehouse by selling them directly through the site, but this never ended up happening. Around April/May of 1990, John played another Bad Brains cover (“Sailin’ On”) in a similar acoustic style in a fan-club interview, that can be heard here. According to this Jane's Addiction bio, he used heroin for the first time in September 1991 that could mean the solo was overdubbed later. However, John has also said he remembers being on heroin when he played the guitar solo for “Ten to Butter Blood Voodoo”. John has mentioned recording these songs while the Chili Peppers were writing Blood Sugar Sex Magik.
